A little bit about myself

Hi, my name is Alfonso, and I am a UI artist & designer living here in sunny Phoenix, Arizona. I've been creating user interfaces for the past 6 years for projects ranging from eLearning applications to video games. For as long as I can remember I've had a passion for creative design, and with that passion I've developed an eye and respect for detail. Although the majority of my skills I use today were self taught, I have studied both Graphic Design and Game Design at Collins College here in Phoenix, where I received a Bachelors Degree in Game Design.

Some of the skills I developed over the years are my proficiencies in design applications like Photoshop, Illustrator, & Flash. Along the way I also developed a taste for scripting and markup languages such as ActionScript, JavaScript, & HMTL. As well as a working knowledge of Typography, Color Theory, & Design Trends.

a little history

After I graduated college, I landed a Flash developer position creating eLearning applications at a multimedia studio Resolutions here in Phoenix. A few years later, I was offered a UI artist position at Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment to work on the Stargate Worlds MMO, which unfortunately was not released. After two years at CME, I went on to do contract work creating UI assets for an independent game studio named GhostFire Games for their Rage of the Gladiator WiiWare title.

the present

I am currently a UI artist and Flash developer at a local game company named Big Bang Entertainment here in Phoenix, working on the PlayStation 3 port of Sony Online Entertainment's FreeRealms.
